Tucson Fire Department crews responded to two separate fires at restaurants in Tucson on Friday night.

TFD said crews responded to Micha's restaurant on South 4th Avenue for reports of a fire. TFD assisted South Tucson Fire crews to fight the flames coming from the building.

TFD said the restaurant sustained major damage and was ultimately destroyed.

TFD sent three ladder trucks and over 30 firefighters to assist the call.

Tucson Fire crews also responded to a small fire at Red's Smokehouse on University Boulevard on Friday night.

TFD said quick detection and a quick response by crews limited the damage to a minimum.

There were no injuries reported.

The restaurant will be closed down for an unknown period of time, TFD said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
