SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office has a suspect in custody in the April 18 homicide in Rio Rico, the first in the county since 2011.

The suspect was identified as Andy Miguel Garcia-Munoz, he is now facing 2nd degree murder charges. 

SCCSO received calls around 1 a.m. Wednesday, April 18 about a man lying in the driveway of a home near Camino Estornino in Rio Rico.  

The man was identified as 24-year-old Francisco Alejandro Gonzalez. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment, but later died at the hospital around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

SCCSO is reporting that he was stabbed by another man, Sheriff Estrada believes this is not a random crime and that the victim and the suspect likely knew each other.
