TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Reporter Lydia Camarillo welcomed a furry friend up for adoption to the studio this afternoon.

Kadince is a 10-year-old chihuahua from the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, looking for a forever home.

This sweet and mellow girl requires an attentive family though, as she has a grade 4 heart murmur. HSSA staff say that she can still live a normal life.

Kadince's adoption fee is only $50 and includes 30 days worth of medication.

The Humane Society also has several events coming up this weekend.

On Saturday, April 21, the shelter will be holding their annual Puttin' on the Dog Gala at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, where you can  hear live music, taste unique food and drinks, participate in a silent auction and more.

The event is for those 21 and older and tickets can be purchased for $135 each.

If you can't make the Gala, you can participate in the online auction and view the items here.
