Parents weigh options for teacher walkout

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

With the teacher planned walkout next week, parents and guardians have about five days to figure out what they will do with their kids, if schools close.

Possibly making it a very stressful time.

Mandi Roth works in Oro Valley and her three boys go to Marana schools. At this point, she doesn’t know what will happen with the boys' schools, whether they close or not.

If they do close, she has a plan for them. Roth told Tucson News Now, she is thinking about leaving her oldest son in charge of her other two boys. She plans to go home at lunch and her neighbor will also check on the boys too.

One of her last options for her boys - bringing them to work with her. Roth said she is lucky that she works at a family friendly office and thinks it could work for a couple of days. If she absolutely has to do it.
