Cats gets a Senior Day sweep on the beach

TUCSON, AZ - Arizona concluded the 2018 regular season Friday with Senior Day victories over New Mexico (5-0) and Utah (3-2) on Friday at Bear Down Beach.

The No. 1, 4, and 5 pairs defeated the Lobos in straight sets.

UA's No. 2 paid of Kacey Nady and Olivia Hallaran battled through three sets and were victorious in the third, 21-15, 19-21, 15-9.

New Mexico's Chloe Crappell and Yasmin Tan fell to Hailey Devlin and Stephany Purdue 21-12, 11-21, 7-15.

Seniors Hailey Devlin, Chelsey Harris, Olivia Macdonald, Kacey Nady, and Stephany Purdue were all honored before the match against Utah.

Arizona's No. 1 and 3 pair fell to the Utes (3-10), but the No. 4 and 5 pair tied up the duel.

Olivia Hallaran and Kacey Nady battled to three sets and notched a victory over Utah's Bailey Choy and Tawnee Luafalemana, 21-13, 19-21, 15-12.

Next up for Arizona (19-10) will be the Pac-12 Championships which start Thursday, April 26 at Stanford.
