UPDATE: Pedestrian struck in April hit-and-run dies of injuries

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police in Tucson say a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on the east side has turned fatal.

According to police, 62-year-old Rose Davila died from her injuries on Sunday, May 6. She was struck while crossing East Speedway Boulevard east of North Sarnoff Drive at about 6 p.m. on April 27. She was not in a crosswalk.

Police are looking for a the driver of a four-door sedan that struck her, but did not stop and continued east on Speedway.

No further information was immediately available. 

Anyone with information about the driver and vehicle is asked to call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.

    A vehicle was recently burglarized at the Douglas Springs Trailhead in Saguaro National Park's Rincon Mountain District (East). According to a NPS news release a credit card that was stolen from the vehicle was used at several locations across Tucson.
