TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Arizona defensive back Dane Cruikshank was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the fifth round of the 2018 National Football League Draft.

Cruikshank, a two-year starter and senior team captain for the Wildcats, was the 152nd overall pick in this year's draft, which concluded Saturday.

The native of Chino Hills, Calif.,  tested well at the NFL Combine earlier this spring after completing his Arizona career with 135 total tackles, including 7.0 for loss and 1.5 sacks. The 6-foot-1, 209-pounder intercepted five passes and combined for 17 passes defended with the Wildcats.

A versatile defensive back, Cruikshank transferred to Arizona in 2015 after playing two seasons at Citrus College where he was a top 100 junior college prospect.

Following a redshirt season in Tucson, Cruikshank went on to start all 25 games of his career with the Wildcats, including 12 at boundary corner in 2016 before shifting to the "spur" safety position for 13 starts in 2017.
