TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Texas scored a pair of goals late in the first period and never looked back on their way to a 4-1 win over Tucson in Game 2 of the AHL’s Pacific Division Finals.

The loss ended Tucson's three-game post-season home winning streak and the series is now tied 1-1 heading to Austin for Games 3, 4 and 5.

Sheldon Dries and Curtis McKenzie scored to stake the Stars to the early advantage.

The second period could have been a complete disaster for Tucson. The Roadrunners were forced to kill off five penalties including a pair that rendered them at a three-on-five disadvantage.
