PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man waiting for his car to be serviced on the south side of Tucson was run over by a truck Saturday morning, according to an update from the Tucson Police Department.

The department's initial release stated that a man was hit and killed by a vehicle in the parking lot of a business near 4415 South 6th Avenue. That man was 61-year-old Manuel Castro Leon, according to Saturday night's update.

An employee at the business was in a large, lifted pickup truck when he ended a phone call and pulled out of the parking lot, according to police. The update stated the employee drove away, unaware of hitting Leon.

The driver returned to the scene when his co-workers called him about what had happened. The driver is cooperating with the investigation, according to TPD's release.

It stated there was no signs of speed or alcohol being a factor in the crash. No citations have been issued or arrests made, as of Saturday night.

Northbound 6th Avenue was shut down at Pennsylvania Drive while officers investigated.
