TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Arizona Basketball program received some good news Saturday when former commit Brandon Williams decided he will indeed join the Wildcats next season after all.
Williams, a highly rated point guard out of California, verbally committed to Arizona months ago but recently backed off his pledge after an ESPN article reported that head coach Sean Miller knew about alleged payments made to former player Deandre Ayton to influence him to attend UA -- as part of an ongoing FBI investigation into the men's basketball program.
Sean Miller held a press conference shortly after the report was released denying those allegations.
Williams is a four-star rated guard, according to national recruiting site 247Sports.
Williams chose Arizona over Oregon and Gonzaga.
