TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Thanks to a generous donation from a Tucson animal lover, the Tucson Police Department K9 Unit will be making a few improvements.

Judith A. Jurman Doyle, who recently passed away, donated $30,000 to the unit via the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundation (SALEF). According to friends and family she was a very giving person and a big animal lover.

Two of Doyle's friend and caregivers -  Amy Sobral and Delisha Ragnatt recently presented the check to the K9 officers.

According to TPD the donation will go toward building up the canine training area.

Present at the event was TPD K9 Bolt, who thanked them and Doyle for the generous donation.
