COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Assist Team Designates and Recognizes The Team of Judy Barnett V-157 and Mary Whicker V-158 as the 2017 VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR.

This designation is in recognition for all the outstanding volunteer work Judy Barnett and Mary Whicker have dedicated to the Sheriff’s Assist Team (SAT) and the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Judy and Mary have been loyal and active members of SAT for the past four years and have volunteered over 1300 hours.  Judy and Mary perform most of their duties as a team.  Together they are affectionately known at the Sheriff’s Headquarters as the “Shredderators.”

They arrive once a week full of good humor and a positive attitude.  By the end of the day, they have filled 8-12 huge bags of shredded confidential files providing a significant positive impact on the administration of the Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to shredding, they have stepped up and volunteered to prepare selected files for Public Records Requests, a task no one cares to perform.  Both Judy and Mary have supported community events and accompanied other SAT members on Patrol.  Their invaluable contributions to public safety are in the best professional traditions of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff’s Assist Team.

Given Under My Hand This 25th of April 2018, in Sierra Vista, Arizona John Black, V-1
