TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The potential for brush and wildfires is here and high, with brush that is very dry and it is pretty windy outside.
Tucson News Now went by Golder Ranch Fire District Station 370, part of their coverage area is along Oracle Road. On Thursday May 10, NWFD crews battled a brush fire at Oracle and Saddlebrooke Road.
It burned about a quarter of an acre. Firefighters told us, they were able to attack the fire and put it out pretty quickly. They say, the possible cause of the fire was chains dragging from a truck.
We learned that dealing with these type of fires is nothing new for the fire crews in the area. NWFD Captain Steve Lunde said they deal with a fire caused by a dragging chain at least a couple of times a year.
