COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two homes, a barn, and several other buildings were destroyed in a fire near Hereford Tuesday afternoon.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said the fire was near Kings Ranch Road and Highway 92.

The Fry, Sierra Vista, Palominas, Bisbee and Fort Huachuca fire departments battled the blaze along with teams from Arizona State Land and the State Forester.

"The quick response by all of these agencies was instrumental in gaining control of the fire," the CCSO said in a news release. "There are no injuries reported in this incident."

As of 7 p.m., Highway 92 remains on restricted access with only one lane of travel open due to smoke and number of fire fighter personnel on scene.
