ARIZONA (Tucson News Now) - Meet Aaron Oakley, a teenager with a rare and refreshing attitude.
Aaron is one motivated young man.
"I already have my OSHA certification and I'm going to barber school right now," he said. "While I'm getting my barber's associate, I can get my lifeguard training too."
Will Savoy with Christian Family Care said Aaron knows exactly what he wants.
"He's definitely very focused on what he wants to do and where he wants to go in life and how to get there," Savoy said.
Another think Aaron wants is a family that is outgoing.
"I want to go swimming, go canoeing, different stuff," he said.
Savoy told Tucson News Now Aaron is looking for a place to grow.
"That idea of him getting into a home, getting into a place where he has roots and has a sense of family, Savoy said.
Aaron wants to study oceanology.
"I like mysteries," he said. "I like figuring out stuff that nobody's ever figured out before. I like to think there's something else besides us and figure out what that is."
Aaron is determined, but he's just getting started.
"He's looking for a family that will allow him some of those freedoms, that will cultivate that adventurous spirit," Savoy said.
"I just feel motivation because I've gone through a lot of bad stuff in the past," Aaron said. "I feel like not everyone can get anywhere in this world, but some that want to have to try to get there."
The number of kids in foster care keeps growing here in southern Arizona.
That's why we're doing Family Finder, a special partnership with Christie's Appliance, to help these children.
