Six arrested following home invasion in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Six armed suspects were arrested after a home invasion on Tucson's east side late Thursday, May 24.

The Tucson Police Department said it happened at an apartment complex in the 4900 block of East 5th Street.

According to the TPD, the six suspects kicked in a locked door and assaulted four victims.

The suspects stole drugs, cash and other property from the apartment.

The suspects were arrested after fleeing the scene.

The TPD said it was not a random crime and the victims were targeted.

    The Pima County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help locating three suspects in the robbery of a Quik Mart on the west side. The three suspects are described as teens from 15 to 17 years of age, all 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with slender builds. Two are Hispanic, one with black bowl cut hair and brown eyes, the third is white with brown hair.

    It was a busy weekend for U.S. Customs and Border Protection canines at the Port of Nogales and the Port of San Luis as more than $1 million in hard drugs were sniffed out.
