Man displaced after west-side fire destroys motor home

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The initial call came in at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday, for a fence fire in the 1400 block of west Miracle Mile, but when Tucson Fire Department crews arrived they found a motor home on fire instead.  

According to a TFD news release, the one occupant of the home, a 55-year-old man escaped unharmed after hearing the fire. There were no additional people or pets in the home.  

It took TFD crews eight minutes to get the fire under control. According to TFD the motor home and a nearby fence were destroyed by the fire. 

No injuries were reported by firefighters or the homeowner.  

TFD is investigating the cause of the fire and the Red Cross was dispatched to work with the homeowner.
