The New UrbanMatter Mobile App Is the Download You Need to Stay in the Loop

Available now on the App Store and Google Play, a new user-driven, real-time app makes it easy to find everything from live music and great food to special events, UrbanMatter reports

CHICAGO – June 17, 2018 /MarketersMedia/

Life’s too short to be out of the loop, so UrbanMatter built an app that will keep you in it. Having already established themselves as a trusted events and entertainments platform in both Chicago and New York, UrbanMatter is now launching a brand-new mobile app intent on directing users to what matters most in their city.

Available now for both iOS and Android, UrbanMatter’s sleek, map-based interface allows its users to search for restaurants, bars, venues, and more within a given area. After the map populates with any and all criteria-matched locations nearby, the user can then filter the search results by what they’re actually looking for using the ‘Matters’ icons. Whether it’s live music, delicious food, or even a celebrity sighting, the UrbanMatter app can help find it.

Want to find a cheap, Italian restaurant in a new neighborhood? Simply type “Italian” into the search bar and press the “Cheap” price Matter icon, and UrbanMatter will find the best possible choices right away.

Additionally, unlike other review-based apps, UrbanMatter doesn’t use arbitrary valuations to connect users to new locations. Instead, the UrbanMatter app relies on crowdsourced reviews left by locals in real-time to fuel its innovative system.

For example, a bar will only appear in a user’s map search results after being filtered for “Great Drinks” if the majority of the reviews left at that bar indicate that the drinks are good, not because an algorithm says it’s so.

“With UrbanMatter, stale online reviews are a thing of the past,” says Editor-in-Chief Michael Norris.

He adds that, “in creating a ratings and reviews app driven entirely by users, we can ensure that our search results are as reliable, authentic, and up-to-date as possible. UrbanMatter can display what the vibe is like at a particular concert venue or event, and, because that information was provided by an actual user, other users can trust that it’s accurate.”

Forthcoming in 2018, UrbanMatter will launch a new feature that allows users to access coupon codes, rewards, and more, depending on the quantity and quality of their reviews. Following the app’s established customer-centric approach, the new update aims to encourage accurate reviewing among users, as well as begin building a community both on and offline.

To join the 5,000 users already finding what matters in their city, download the UrbanMatter app in the App Store or Google Play today. To learn more about UrbanMatter, visit their website at https://urbanmatter.com/app.
