TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The fire near Redington Road, dubbed the Salto Fire, has been contained according to the Coronado National Forest Service.
Forest Service personnel were called to the scene of a brush fire along Redington Road on Thursday, July 5.
According to Heidi Schewel of the Coronado National Forest Service, the fire burned about 60 acres of grass on land within the Coronado National Forest and appears to be human caused.
The Forest Service says no structures were threatened by the fire. Two helicopters, three engines, one water tender and two hand crews were dispatched to the scene.
Crews will continue mopping up and extinguishing hot spots in the area.
The fire is not yet contained.
