TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Another classic Tucson eatery is closing its doors.

Fuddruckers closed its Speedway location on Wednesday after serving the Tucson area for decades.

According to Tucson Foodie, a small sign was posted on the restaurant's front doors saying, "Thank you Tucson for your support for many years. We will be closing permanently on August 8, 2018 at 3 p.m.."

The popular hangout was picked by the Tucson Weekly as one of the best burger establishments in Tucson several times.

The Fuddruckers chain is known for their freshly baked buns and allowing guests to choose their burger toppings.
