Woman rescued from car stuck in wash west of Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A woman is safe after being rescued from her vehicle, which had become stranded in a flooded wash in Picture Rocks on Friday morning, Aug. 10.

According to a spokesman from the Avra Valley Fire District, rescuers found the woman in her 50s standing on the vehicle near West Manville and North Reservation roads.

Paramedics evaluated the woman at the scene. She did not want to be taken to a hospital.

The area remains closed because of high water.
