TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Baylor Bears put on a rebounding clinic Saturday night at McKale Center in Tucson dominating the glass to the tune of 51-19 on their way to a 58-49 win over the Arizona Wildcats.
The evening was so bad for Arizona that Baylor was given an additional rebound after the conclusion of the game boosting their total from an initial listing of 50 boards.
The loss snapped UA’s 52-game non-conference home win streak.
The Bears had 18 offensive rebounds in the game that led to a 19-2 advantage in second chance points.
Mark Vital alone grabbed 16 rebounds for Baylor (6-3). The Bears were led in scoring by Makai Mason’s 22 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds.
Arizona (7-4) loses their second straight game in non-conference play. Brandon Randolph led the Wildcats with 15 points.
