PHOENIX, AZ (KOLD NEWS) - State regulators have reportedly ordered Hacienda Healthcare to hire an outside manager to run the facility where a woman in a vegetative state recently gave birth, according to an AZFamily article.
Both the Arizona Department of Economic Security and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System mention in a letter to the CEO of Hacience HealthCare of their multiple visits to the facility after a woman in a vegetative state gave birth.
"Nonetheless, in order to guarantee ongoing improvement, additional oversight is immediately warranted and necessary to protect the medically fragile patents at Hacienda and to assure their loved ones are safe and protected." stated the letter.
There are two important deadlines that Hacienda must make:
- Jan. 23 - they must have the approval on a third party manager to oversee day-to-day operations
- Jan. 30 - the manager must be in place and overseeing operations.
